MOLISANO, Italy — The DR group, which imports Chinese vehicles from Gonow, has launched its own crossover models, the DR3 and the DR5.The RAV4 look-alikes were designed by DR and will be assembled in Italy, from chassis and running gear supplied by Gonow.The DR models will be powered by Fiat 1.9-liter Multijet diesel four-cylinder engines. The company said it plans to begin production in mid-2007, and expects to build and sell up to 12,000 vehicles a year in Europe. Prices will start at around $21,000 and will range up to $37,000.DR also is importing the Gonow Troy pickup and the Victory utility vehicle for sale in Italy under its Katay brand.
